Hi! How can I play this game? It came out around 94. I bought a cd 💿 attachment for my MacBook Air 💻 and it did not work. My friend suggested Wii emulator but I have no idea if that would work. I would really love to play my old computer games but have no idea how. If you know how, I would appreciate any tips.IMG_9464.webp

Hmm, let's see. What kind of MacBook Air do you have? A modern one or an older one? macOS doesn't support 32 bit apps anymore, which is why I'm guessing it won't run out of the box. We might need an emulator of some sort, or virtual machine running an old version of macOS.

Check out Basilisk 2, a classic Mac simulator: https://basilisk.cebix.net/

If you were to download that, then the Macintosh System 7 or 8 binary files, you should be able to run your game that way. You may want to check Macintosh Garden to download the game to your computer via an .iso file instead of running it off the disk. Not sure if it would work that way.

I really appreciate your response. I've been wanting to play this game so bad! I'm not very computer literate. My macbook air is a Retina, 13 inch 2020. Mac OS Sonoma 14.6.1

I heard of the Basilisk 2. So you are saying download that and then I have to download Mac system 7 or 8 binary files? Do you have info on how to download the 7 or 8 binary files? I understand I'll have to emulate instead of the disk.

I just downloaded the App. I'm hoping this will work. It seems to have a lot of different options, so not quite sure what I should choose to set up. But I downloaded and am hoping.
That's awesome! Let us know what happens!

I downloaded the app and played around a little. Looked up videos trying to see how do I play old Mac games on the UTM. But unfortunately, I don't really understand any of it. I've never been very technical with computers. I really want to play it but would need to know the very steps needed. Right now it feels like I'm reading a different language. Let me know if you have any ideas.

Do you guys recommend Basilisk 2 or UTM more?
I would probably advise UTM for ease of use. I have used it before and I always thought it was good software. I don't have any experience with basilisk though. So I'm afraid I can't recommend it or advise against it.

Oh okay. I was trying to do the Basiliski 2 today. I tried a couple YouTube tutorials but after an hour I didn’t know what I was doing. I’m gonna meet with a friend next week as well to try to set it up.

Be sure to let us know what ends up working! I'm super curious!

Thanks. Well, I brought my Macbook to my friends who are computer enthusiasts and we tried to figure it out. I showed them the UTM video. But UTM doesn't have the Mac program anymore. So unfortunately we're all stumped on what to do. I have a Macbook Air Intel core 15 processor. Current version is 14.6.1

Then after we tried Sheep Shaver. But he didn't seem to understand exactly what needed to be done. They tried different things but it kept on coming up as an error. They said maybe if I got a new PC then maybe it would be easier to find the correct software. They also suggested maybe an older lap top that could support the older games. They work on computers for a living so I was surprised how much of a puzzle this is.

I really wanna play my old Mac games including Victor Vector and Yondo. But let me know if you have anymore tips. I'm not gonna give up. Just didn't know how much of an adventure this would be to try to recapture the past.

I'll try later when I have some time to find the game file and see if there is a way I can get it running on my Mac. I'm sure it's possible. Just have to figure out the best way to do it. I've never used Basilisk but I will try it later.

    I do appreciate it.

Hi. Have you had a chance to try? I was able to find a site that I can play the original Sim City online. It was very easy. But don't see an easy site where I can play Victor Vector and Yondo. I had my friend download Exodos but he had no luck trying to play it.

So sorry about the very long wait. Life happens I suppose. I'm still working on trying to get it running.
