Apple’s iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus models bring several notable upgrades while maintaining a familiar design. Both models feature the new Action Button, similar to the one found on the Pro models. This button allows users to customize functions such as opening the camera, turning on the flashlight, or running shortcuts without unlocking the phone. Additionally, a new camera control feature makes it easier to capture photos and videos with more precision.

    Key features:
Display sizes: The iPhone 16 has a 6.1-inch screen, and the iPhone 16 Plus features a larger 6.7-inch display.
New Camera Control Button: One of the standout features is a customizable Camera Control Button on the side, allowing quick access to camera functions for more efficient shooting. This button can be programmed for various uses, like launching the camera, capturing photos, or starting video recordings instantly. Apple also showed off its ability to quickly send photo AI prompts with one click of the Camera Control button.
Action Button: The iPhone 16 and 16 Plus introduce the Action Button, enabling users to quickly access functions like the camera, flashlight, and controls, toggle between Ring and Silent modes, activate features like Voice Memos, Translate, and Shazam, and even use in-app functions such as locking or unlocking a car with FordPass.
Wi-Fi 7 support: All iPhone 16 models now support the faster Wi-Fi 7 standard for enhanced wireless performance.
A18 Chip: The A18 chip in the iPhone 16 and 16 Plus offers a 30% faster CPU and 40% faster GPU than the A16 Bionic, with hardware-accelerated ray tracing for enhanced gaming visuals. It supports AAA games with ultra graphics modes and delivers more efficient, powerful performance for gaming and Apple Intelligence.
Industry-Leading Durability: The iPhone 16 and 16 Plus are built to last, featuring Ceramic Shield that is 50% tougher than the first generation and twice as strong as any other smartphone glass, along with water and dust resistance for added protection.
Optimized Battery Design: The internal design has been re-engineered to accommodate a larger battery, improve heat dissipation, and make battery servicing easier, resulting in significantly extended battery life.
Power Management: Combined with the power-efficient iOS 18, the new internal design helps optimize battery performance for longer usage throughout the day.
Camera System: The iPhone 16 and 16 Plus feature a powerful 48MP Fusion camera with a 2x optical-quality Telephoto lens, offering greater flexibility for close-up shots. The 12MP Ultra Wide camera enables macro photography and gathers 2.6x more light for improved image quality, while autofocus ensures sharper results. Users can also capture spatial photos and videos, adding remarkable depth for viewing memories on Apple Vision Pro.

    Key Features:
Larger Displays: The iPhone 16 Pro has a 6.3-inch display, while the Pro Max boasts a massive 6.9-inch screen, making it the largest iPhone display to date. Both models use Super Retina XDR OLED technology with ProMotion for smoother scrolling and more responsive touch.
Camera Control Button: The iPhone 16 Pro lineup features the same Camera Control Button on the side as the iPhone 16 models, enabling swift access to camera features for smoother shooting. This button can be customized for different actions, such as opening the camera, snapping photos, or instantly starting video recordings.
Camera Control with Visual Intelligence: Later this year, Camera Control will unlock visual intelligence, allowing users to quickly learn about objects and places, such as identifying a dog’s breed, checking restaurant hours, or adding events from a flyer. It will also integrate with third-party tools like Google and ChatGPT for deeper insights, with full user control over when and how these tools are accessed.
48MP Fusion Camera: The iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max feature a powerful 48MP Fusion camera with a faster quad-pixel sensor, allowing for zero shutter lag and high-resolution ProRAW and HEIF photos, along with 4K120 fps video recording in Dolby Vision.

Spatial Photo and Video: iPhone 16 Pro models support capturing spatial photos and videos, allowing users to relive memories with remarkable depth when viewed on Apple Vision Pro.
Studio-Quality Audio: The Pro models introduce four studio-quality mics and Audio Mix, which lets users adjust sound post-capture to focus on voices, reduce wind noise, or create a surround sound experience.
Next-Gen Photographic Styles: Photographic Styles now offer deeper customization, allowing users to adjust color, highlights, and shadows in real time with enhanced understanding of skin tones, making photos highly personalized and creative.
Battery and Charging: Both models feature a 25W fast charging capability through MagSafe, offering quicker charge times compared to previous generations.
    • A18 Pro Chip: The A18 Pro chip, built on second-generation 3-nanometer technology, delivers 20% faster GPU performance and 17% increased system memory bandwidth, enabling faster experiences for graphics-intensive tasks like gaming and Apple Intelligence applications. The 6-core CPU with two performance and four efficiency cores runs workloads 15% faster while using 20% less power, with next-gen ML accelerators optimizing tasks for high efficiency without overloading the Neural Engine.
Durable Design: The Pro models have a more premium build with a titanium frame, making them both lightweight and sturdy.
Same Feature Set: Aside from the difference in screen size and battery life, the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max share the same features across the board, making both options equally powerful.
